Making waves
A free French performance piece on the shores of Cockle Bay will be one of the highlights of next year’s Sydney Festival.
Ilotopie’s Water Fools uses light, sound and pyrotechnics to tell the story of an everyday man whose humdrum life is turned upside down when his head inexplicably bursts into flames. Everyday objects are transformed into mythical creatures as our hero finds himself on an epic journey – all taking place on the water.
Water Fools is on 18-19 January at Cockle Bay from 8.45pm. It is a free event.
Support the Star Observer… while you still can
LGBTQIA+ media is under threat. Queer content is censored by tech conglomerates who amplify bigotry and push out AI slop — so we receive less financial support than ever.
When our community is muzzled and intolerance intensifies, we need queer media more than ever. Your donation means we can continue paying queer journalists to write queer news.
Don’t rely on the straight lies of big tech – support Star Observer instead and donate now.
