Workshop for youth with HIV
A two-day workshop for HIV-positive men under 29 years of age will be held this weekend.
ACON’s men’s education officer Rob Sutherland said there was a need for an age-specific group. “We had a few clients contacting us saying that the services for the older males didn’t fit them,” he said.
“They may be going through different issues with their sexuality and coming out to their family.”
The workshop will allow the men to talk openly about their experiences as well as providing ongoing involvement in an environment which they can feel comfortable in.
