The hit Gay Aussie drama Invisible Boys is officially going international with the announcement of its US release this week.

Charlie, Zeke, Hammer and Matt will officially be introduced to US audiences thanks to streaming service Hulu, which is owned by Disney+.

Now we can’t help but wonder: does this make the Invisible Boys official gay Disney Princes?

Invisible Boys To Stream On Hulu

It’s been a long road for Invisible Boys since it was first published seven years ago, back in 2019.

Fans raved about the raw and real storytelling that chronicled the lives of four young gay men in the rural town of Geraldton, Western Australia.

Since then, Holden Sheppard, the series author, has released two other books (The Brink and King Of Dirt) before delivering fans the long-awaited sequel, Yeah The Boys.

Invisible Boys was eventually released as a ten-part series on Stan Australia last year, to rave reviews.

While audiences in Australia have been able to watch this powerful and important piece of television, international viewers have been left in the dark, despite the show going up against Heated Rivalry for the prestigious Peabody Awards in the US, until now.

“I am so pumped to share that the INVISIBLE BOYS TV Series is now getting a USA streaming release on Hulu in North America!” wrote Holden Sheppard on Instragam this week.

“I grew up dreaming about breaking into the States one day: even though it felt very unlikely, I used to listen to the American Top 40 with Ryan Seacrest while I was doing my fruit & veg boy job at Rigters and think how awesome it would be if I could ever get my art noticed all the way across the world by the States. So this is proper, for real dream-come-true stuff” he wrote.

“I am stoked – beyond stoked – to know that my boys and their story will be available across the USA on American TV screens.”

While Hulu has officially been announced as the streaming service for the US deal, no date has been announced just yet.

However, in the meantime, Sheppard will be focusing on his latest TV adaptation after he announced recently that Yeah The Boys is officially headed for its own television adaptation.

He has also previously shared the exciting news that the Invisible Boys book has been released in France, even sharing a recent snap with one of the television series producers who picked up a copy while in the country.
