#Pashfest video launched

AFTER a photograph of a gay couple kissing was taken down from Facebook, Markham Lane decided to create the #PashFest campaign as an act of protest.

Lane, a photographer, had also uploaded an image of a lesbian couple kissing but this was left untouched by Facebook.

Nonetheless, he started #PashFest with the aim of having social media embrace equality and diversity through shared photos of same-sex couples kissing — without fear of reprisal or censorship from society and social media sources.

Last week, the campaign’s accompanying video was also launched (see below).

Couples from all over the world can join the campaign and share their love for their partner and stand for equality by posting a photo with the #PashFest hashtag.
