Bowlers turn to bingo
With the excitement of the Cologne Gay Games behind them, it’s time for Sydney’s Rams gay and lesbian tenpin bowling league to get back to business. The league’s next event is their 16th annual Bingo Community Fundraiser, to be held on Saturday, September 4 at the Marrickville Bowling Club. Over the past 15 years Sydney Rams have raised in excess of $25,000 for gay charities in the city, and the 2010 event is shaping up to be another winner, with all proceeds raised going to PFLAG. Kicking off at 7pm, there’ll be entertainment from a bevy of glamorous drag bingo callers, great prizes to be won, and club food and drink. Bookings: mrglen@medemail.com.au
