Cher and Gaga’s musical pair-up
Age-defying pop diva Cher took to her Twitter today and revealed that she’s finished the first song for an upcoming record – and it’s a Lady Gaga track, titled The Greatest Thing.
“Just walked in from studio ! I Finished 1st track on new cd &……..”GAGA ” ” YOU ARE THE GREATEST THING TO ME, ” read the first rather cryptic Tweet, prompting fans to ask whether it was a duet with the singer. Cher soon clarified with a follow-up Tweet: “It’s not a duet ! Who knows ? I Did Hold her “Meat Purse” haha! One can wish! It’s one of her songs & she & Redone gave it to me 4 my cd !”
This isn’t the first time Gaga’s passed one of her songs on to another artist – she’s also written for the Pussycat Dolls and has a track on Jennifer Lopez’s latest album, Love. Will the pair team up to sing this track together? Only time (and Cher’s Twitter) will tell.
