Elton John is returning to Australia in November for a tour to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Rocket Man.

Released in 1972, John’s Rocket Man was a global hit, breaking records in multiple countries around the world and achieving the highest chart positions ever held by any John single at the time.

He will only be returning for a brief three show tour and only in Sydney, Perth and Canberra. His Sydney show marks the 42nd time he has performed at the Entertainment Centre.

The music legend’s collaboration with award-winning Australian dance duo PNAU (Nick Littlemore and Peter Mayes) is released in Australia this Friday.

John gave PNAU access to his old masters spanning 1970-1976, which resulted in the album Good Morning To The Night which has already hit the number one spot in the UK.

The album’s lead single has been handpicked by as one of five official songs for the upcoming London Olympic Games.

Tickets for Elton John go on sale on Monday, August 6.
