Gaga previews new album

Rolling Stone was given an exclusive listen to tracks from Lady Gaga’s hugely anticipated Born This Way album and passed on their verdict to readers.

In addition to her current recording-breaking number one single and the track You And I, which the fame monster has been performing on tour for the past year, the magazine was played four new tracks.

They described Judas – already earmarked as the album’s second single – as a “pop banger”, likened the vocal to Rihanna and highlighted the lyrics “I’m just a holy fool, baby it’s so cool, I’m still in love with Judas”.

Another song Edge Of Glory was labelled “incredibly catchy” and features saxophone by Clarence Clemons, while Scheiße is “the tune most likely to bring back memories of early-Nineties dance crossover hits by C+C Music Factory, Snap and RuPaul”.

Last but not least is Hair, which finds Gaga singing the line “I am my hair”.

  1. I wanna like Lady Gaga. I really do. Her songs are fun to dance to and I give her props for supporting gay causes. I just wish she would think before she tries to make herself profound. The clumsy lyrics to Born this Way (our new anthem!) was bad enough, but telling an adoring crowd that you don’t do it for the fame or money you just do it for them (a sold out crowd in Madison Square Garden) makes you sound like an asshole.
