Harry Potter praises Lady Gaga

Daniel Radcliffe has expressed his admiration for Lady Gaga in an interview with MTV and compared their respective approaches to raising GLBTI equality awareness.

The Harry Potter actor, who is being honored by the Trevor Project with a Hero Award for his work in gay youth suicide prevention, shares mother monster’s message of self-acceptance.

“[Gaga is] very outspoken as well, and it’s just about being who you were born as,” Daniel told the music channel.

“I mean, she has a slightly more flamboyant way of putting her point across than I would, and it suits her a lot better than it would me. But we’re both aiming for the same thing.”

While the 21-year-old has never met the Grammy winner, it turns out that his parents are fans.

“My mom and dad, bizarrely, went to her concert,” Radcliffe confided.

“Like, my parents at a Lady Gaga concert, which I just think is the coolest, oddest thing.”
