Is this Britney’s new song?
The internet has been rife with speculation about the due date of Britney’s new song and it appears the wait is finally over – kind of.
Earlier this morning a purported demo (below) of the diva’s new single Hold It Against me leaked, but there is some debate over whether or not it’s the real deal.
It’s clear that the voice belongs to someone else but the song appears to be an early draft of Brit’s eagerly anticipated comeback anthem.
Written and produced by Dr. Luke and Max Martin, Hold It Against Me sounds quite similar to tracks the duo have crafted for fellow pop superstar Ke$ha.
No doubt the future smash will sound more distinctive with Britney’s vocal but it’s not quite as catchy or original as Womanizer or Gimme More.
The lyrics, which include such deep prose as “cause you feel like paradise and I need a vacation tonight”, also leave a lot to be desired.
Lady Gaga just breathed a sigh of relief!
