Kylie to release Cupid Boy?

Kylie’s UK record label has commissioned remixes of Cupid Boy, fuelling speculation that the song could be sent to nightclubs as a promo single.

Written by British electro-pop sensation Luciana and produced by Swedish House Mafia, the t

rack was an immediate fan favourite and singled out by many as the most club-friendly track on Aphrodite.

Releasing Cupid Boy is a great idea. The song is brilliant and a club hit would allow Kylie to reclaim her crown as pop’s reigning dance diva after letting it slip with a series of mid-tempo singles like All The Lovers and Better Than Today.

Given that Warner Australia did virtually no club promotion for Get Outta My Way and completely ignored her last single, it would be a nice token to the pop icon’s army of loyal fans if they gave the song a push in Australia – Denzal Park or TV Rock could work wonders with it!

The first remix, a dub courtesy of Australia’s Stereogamous (DJ Seymour Butz and Paul Mac in fine dancefloor form) takes the song in a dark and dirty direction that clubbers will no doubt lap up.
