Madonna apologises to Aussie fans
Madonna has “really and truly” apologised to all of her local fans for cancelling the Australian leg of her MDNA world tour.
In a personal video posted to YouTube, Madonna told fans that her decision was a very hard one to make and disappointing them “is something I don’t feel very good about”.
The singer acknowledges that she has missed Australia on her past few tours and that she really did intend on taking her MDNA tour here but family commitments took priority.
Madonna felt that by next year (when Australian shows were originally planned) if she didn’t end her seven month long tour and spend time with her family, that she would be an “irresponsible parent”.
The singer also acknowledged the negative response she has received and asks forgiveness from fans.
Madonna finished her video by promising that when she does finally return to Australia, she’ll “put on the greatest show on Earth.”
