We tried, internet: the online petition to appeal to the casting couch for the movie ’50 Shades of Grey’ to consider Matt Bomer to play the role of Christian Grey … failed.
He lost out to Once Upon a Time actor Jamie Dornan. Whilst Dornan may not be gay, he is a very visually … talented actor.
For the record, judging from previous roles in the TV show Once Upon a Time and movie Marie Antoinette, he is more than qualified to take on the naked scenes of the S&M-obsessed billionaire.
Matt is too good and beautiful to play such a petty role.
Love Matt Bomer, but he is too classy for this role and his career is going too well to risk it on something that could turn out to be porn. This guy is really good looking, but I don’t know anything about his acting ability. The only thing I can see wrong with him right off is that his eyes seem to be brown in all the pictures I have seen. The books made a big deal about Chritian’s grey eyes. Contacts?
I didn’t know who Matt Bomer was before I read 50…..in my mind thats how I pictured him, He is born for this role…that’s it ;)
