DUDE Magazine heads north
DUDE Magazine will hold its official DUDE #2 launch in Brisbane on February 18. There will also be a trans masculine sharing workshop with editor
Jez Pez earlier in the day.
This workshop is open to, but not limited to people who identify under the umbrella terms of transgender, trans masculine, FTM, trans guys, transsexual men and people questioning their gender or considering the journey of medical transitioning.
It is also for those not interested in surgery or hormones but keen to learn more or meet people.
The workshop will cover Pez’s personal journey of gender transition and some of the unexpected challenges along the way.
It will also look at the social and political impacts of transitioning, advocating against sexism and misogyny, promoting good health and wellbeing, sexual relationships and discussion around consent.
The free workshop will be held at Between the Walls (42 Manning St, South Brisbane) from 1pm.
DUDE Magazine will launch at 8pm with shows and DJs. It’s $10 entry.
