
Here’s where you can celebrate the survey announcement on Wednesday

With all polls suggesting a strong Yes result in the marriage equality postal survey, the official announcement will be made this Wednesday morning.
Here’s a selection of events around the country you can attend to hear the announcement and—hopefully—celebrate the result.

Melbourne
Equal Love is hosting a live results announcement at the State Library of Victoria, starting at 9 am.
Equality Is will hold a results day picnic in Alexandra Gardens from 10 am.
Loop Project Space & Bar is throwing a special free drinks event from 12 noon.
From 5:30 pm, the Victorian Trade Halls Council Building will host a massive street party.
Wodonga
Gateway Health is holding a morning tea and self-care event for the announcement, kicking off at 9:30 am.
Adelaide
The official announcement event will be held by SA Marriage Equality and Australian Marriage Equality at Hindmarsh Square from 8 am.
For something more relaxed, Pride of the South will host a results breakfast from 9 am at the Ripple & Swirl Café.
Sydney
The official results announcement at Prince Alfred Park will kick off at 9 am.
The University of Sydney is also holding a results event at Manning Bar from 9:30 am.
In the evening, ARQ and Stonewall Hotel are each holding Yes parties, and there will be street party in Taylor Square.
NSW South Coast
Marriage Equality Gilmore is hosting a results announcement gathering at The Tea Club in Nowra, starting at 9 am.
A results announcement event will also be held at the Main Deck Café in Huskisson from 9:30 am.
Seasalt of Cullburra is hosting a morning tea from 9:30 am.
A Yes celebration will follow in the evening, from 6 pm at Angels Bayside Café.
Brisbane
The official announcement will happen at Queens Garden in the CBD from 8 am.
The Sportsman Hotel is hosting a YES party from 11 am till late.
Sunshine Coast
YES Noosa and Australian Marriage Equality are holding a results announcement picnic in Noosa, starting at 8:45 am.
Cairns
Cairns Tropical Pride is hosting a results party at Paradiso Cairns from 8:30 pm.
Darwin
The official results event, hosted by Australian Marriage Equality and The Territory Says Yes, will be held at Oaks Elan Darwin from 8 am.
Tasmania
The Cascade Hotel in South Hobart is holding a results announcement party from 9:30 am.
Working It Out Inc will host an ‘equali-tea party’ in Hobart from 4:30 pm.
PFLAG Tasmania is also hosting a results after-party in Cygnet, kicking off at 5 pm.
The Young Greens are saying good riddance to the survey period with a ‘plebishite party’ at World’s End Brewpub in Sandy Bay from 6 pm.
