A major online resource about domestic violence in gay and lesbian relationships has been given a makeover.

The website – www.anothercloset.com.au – now includes information for people of diverse sex, sexuality and gender, with information for transgender and intersex people experiencing domestic violence.

LGBTIQ Domestic Violence Interagency chairperson Kate Duffy said domestic violence can happen in any type of intimate relationship, where there is a misuse of power and control, including in gay, lesbian, transgender and intersex relationships.

“We have moved with the times and added a new interactive blog which has regular news updates and upcoming events and there are contact details for more support services where people can turn to for help.

“The website is now easy to find and easy to use. We encourage you to jump on and have a look.”
