Food and Wine Fair seeks stallholders

By Benjamin Riley

The AIDS Trust of Australia Sydney Food and Wine Fair is looking for more food and beverage stallholders for this year’s event to service an expected increase in crowd numbers, which last year reached almost 28,000.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the event, which serves as the flagship fundraiser for the AIDS Trust. The fair will be held in Hyde Park North on Saturday, October 30 from noon-5pm, and will be the final event of The Sydney Morning Herald’s Crave Sydney International Food Festival. A number of prominent Sydney food and drink proprietors have already signed up to participate, including Longrain, Icebergs Dining Room and Bar, and Sailors Thai.

A stall at the fair offers retailers exposure to large crowds, as well as the general marketing support for the event. Stalls, signs, security and waste removal would all be provided for stallholders. In return, stallholders are asked to donate 100 percent of the day’s product sales.
