Everyone’s getting in on Mardi Gras fever in 2008 – even our local restaurants.

From 21 February Mad Mex Fresh Mexican Grill will be offering free Luche Libre Mexican wrestler masks with every pitcher of specially priced margaritas.

The restaurant is in party mode and will also be giving 20 percent discounts to festival ticket holders and New Mardi Gras members.

“This will be our first Mardi Gras season and we’re excited about joining in on the festivities,” owner Clovis Young said.

“Darlinghurst residents and visitors have been tremendously supportive since we opened in November, and this is a great way to say thanks for the support and help commemorate the 30th anniversary of one of the world’s biggest parties.”

The Grill offers Sydneysiders gourmet made-to-order burritos, tacos, nachos, fajitas and quesadillas combined with quick service, giving Mexican food lovers a new and vibrant dine-in or take-away option. The fully licensed flagship venue is open from noon to 10pm seven days a week.

Mad Mex Fresh Mexican Grill uses only top quality meats, produce and condiments in its food. The full range of salsas, guacamole and roasted, slow-cooked and grilled meats and beans is prepared on-site daily, complemented with imported Mexican chilies and tomatillos for a truly authentic flavour.

Mad Mex Fresh Mexican Grill is located at 2/241-247 Crown St, Darlinghurst.
