Pouring her heart into lunch

The Luncheon Club Larder has been re-opened thanks to the efforts of scores of volunteers and a massive fundraising drive.

NSW Governor Marie Bashir and her husband Sir Nicholas Sheadie were the gusts of honour at the function on Monday, which also doubled as the Luncheon Club’s Christmas in July celebration.

Monday was my day to say thank you to my volunteers and sonors and to show my appreciation, Luncheon Club founder Carole Ann King said.

There was much fanfare and joy while they reopened the Larder door, with a number of clients and children waiting inside for the moment.
