THE POLLYS GETS
SPACED OUT

The Pollys Club are busily planning their April dance and show, with a Spaced Out theme.

Pollys parties are always fun, down-to-earth and unpretentious. Spaced Out will be held at the Marrickville Town Hall on Saturday 3 April from 7pm.

Guests can BYO or buy at the bar and tickets are $20 full price or $15 concession.

Tickets for this year’s 40th anniversary party will be available on the night. Phone Bill and Tony on 9750 7035 or John on 9877 5401 for bookings or more details.

THREE SISTERS GO UNDERWATER

The Pollys aren’t the only community-minded social group going all out to celebrate this year.

Blue Mountains-based The Three Sisters Social Group have announced the theme of their annual Winter Ball.

Attendees are encouraged to warm up their wetsuits for the Ball’s Underwater Fantasy theme, which will no doubt see a lot of mermaids, mermen and, perhaps, a few clowning fish.

Prizes will be awarded for Belle of the Ball, best male theme costume, best female theme costume, best group theme costume and best couple theme costume.

The Ball will be held on Sunday 13 June at the Springwood Civic Centre. Tickets are $80 (return bus fair from Sydney is available for $20) and can be booked on 8230 0889.

OPEN SPACE IN SURRY HILLS?

Residents can let the City of Sydney know what they want a new park on Campbell St, Surry Hills to look like.

The park will be a part of the redevelopment of the site adjoining Surry Hills Police Station and construction is due to start in late 2004.

Residents can view the Draft Plan of Management at the City of Sydney’s One Stop Shop at Town Hall House, Kent St, Sydney or at the City East neighbourhood service centre, 60a Darlinghurst Rd, Kings Cross.

The draft plan will be on exhibition until Friday 30 April. Residents can make submissions on the plan until then.
