Celebrating almost half a century
Retired PFLAG Victoria president and gay community hero Nan McGregor and husband John celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary recently.
McGregor said she was pleased to celebrate the occasion and told Southern Star Observer she’s looking forward to a time when both her gay and straight children can marry.
“I want equality for all Australians,” McGregor said. “I would like to see [same-sex marriage] available because it’s about choice and gay and lesbian people currently don’t have that option.”
