AMERICAN Winter Olympic freeskiing silver medalist Gus Kenworthy, who grabbed headlines last week when he publicly came out as gay, recently shut down a Twitter comment compared his relationship activities to that of a heterosexual couple.

The homophobic tweet was responded shortly by this comment from Kenworthy:

Since coming out, the Olympian has won the hearts of openly gay actor Ellen Page, and the owner of the LGBTI youth Charity the Happy Hippie Foundation, Miley Cyrus — who who expressed her adoration for Kenworthy on her personal Instagram account:
