Surry Hills Festival on the move

The annual Surry Hills Festival is fast approaching but this year the event will have two locations.
Due to current renovations of the festival’s regular home, Prince Alfred Park, the event will be held in two small Surry Hills parks, Shannon Reserve and Ward Park.
Taking place on Saturday, April 10, the festival’s entertainment line-up includes artists such as Jonathan Boulet, the Ray Mann Three, Fergus Brown and The Paper Scissors.
The festival parks are alcohol-free zones and festivalgoers are encouraged to visit the sponsor hotels, the Trinity and the Whitehorse. The day will feature market stalls and international foods.
The Surry Hills Festival is sponsored by the City of Sydney and is produced by the Surry Hills Neighbourhood Centre as a major fundraiser for the centre’s community services.
info: The Surry Hills Festival is on Saturday, April 10, 9.30am-6pm, at Shannon Reserve, Crown St and Ward Park, Devonshire St. Visit www.shnc.org/festival
