This year the SGLBA celebrates 30 years. The Association, founded in 1981, began as the Gay Business Association and was formed at a time when the struggle for gay rights was in full swing (only three years after the 1978 Mardi Gras police arrests).

There will be much to celebrate on November 11, 2011.

Members, both past and present, and their guests are invited to join the celebration at this three-course gala dinner to be held at the Marriott Hotel, Sydney. The SGLBA history project will also be on display, showcasing memorabilia from the Association’s past. Speakers for the evening are Shelley Argent, OAM and Nick Stathopoulos, with entertainment from the Divine Miss Bette.
