Asian Marching Boys back for Mardi Gras

Asian Marching Boys back for Mardi Gras

Longstanding community group Asian Marching Boys and Friends will make a comeback in 2010 with fabulous new shows and a spectacular Mardi Gras parade entry.
Armed with a new organising committee and a more inclusive name, the group is geared up to have its best Mardi Gras parade entry ever.
“Last year lots of people asked where we had gone,” chair Kha Phan said. “After lots of hard work and plenty of determination, we’re ready to make a comeback.”
Asian Marching Boys and Friends will hold two membership registration days for people to sign up, meet the organising committee, and get a sneak peek of what is planned for the 2010 parade.
Membership fees ($10) will contribute towards the cost of hiring the sound and lighting equipment and the truck for the parade float.

info: Membership registration days are January 16 and 23, 4pm-6pm, at ACON, 9 Commonwealth St, Surry Hills. Visit Asian Marching Boys and Friends on Facebook.
