Cher’s club comeback

Cher’s club comeback

It’s been eight long years since Cher last set dancefloors on fire with 2003’s Love One Another, but she’s preparing to re-claim her crown as the queen of clubs.

The legendary diva is experiencing yet another career revival right now thanks to her scene stealing role in Burlesque.

That movie has surprised just about everyone by not following Glitter and Showgirls into the cinematic hall of shame – and the project’s goodwill has helped Cher score an unexpected club hit.

You Haven’t Seen The Last Of Me (below) is currently sitting at number 5 on America’s club chart and boasts remixes from likes of Dave Aude, Stonebridge and Almighty.

The pop legend’s anthem is also nominated for a Golden Globe but faces tough competition from her co-star’s Sia penned ballad Bound To You.

Who do you think will win this diva battle – Cher or Christina?

  1. You Haven’t Seen The Last Of Me will (or at least should) win the Golden Globe as the tone and lyrics of the song plus the fact that Cher is singing it, should get it over the line.

However, Cher won’t win the award.

Diane Warren who wrote the song, and Cher’s classic If I Could Turn Back Time amongst others, will.

Although Burlesque seems to have been universally panned by critics, audiences seem to really love the movie. Whether this holds any favor with the Hollywood Foreign Press Association remains to be seen, with Burlesque vying for 2 awards on the night.
