Uniting in faith

The third annual GLBT Multifaith Service will be held from 7.30pm on Tuesday, June 22 at the Seaview Street Community Hall, Dulwich Hill.

The theme of this year’s service is ‘Strength of friendship … sense of community’. The evening will be comprised of a mix of readings, the lighting of rainbow candles, a time for reflection supported by music and imagery, and an opportunity to share before drawing to a close with a song.

Refreshments will follow, providing ample opportunity for fellowship and networking with fellow gay faith groups.

The Multifaith Service, supported by the Uniting Network, Metropolitan Community Churches, and Jewish gay supporters, and coordinated by the Acceptance Catholic gay group, is now a listed event in this month’s Sydney Pride Festival. The service is open to all, and aims to build a strong and supportive network of gay and lesbian-friendly faith groups throughout Sydney. No booking is necessary.
