Melbourne’s gay and lesbian rowing club, the Argonauts will be out in force this weekend for their second annual rowing regatta.
The Argonauts will join with South Melbourne Rowing Club on Albert Park Lake this Saturday, May 8  for a day of hot competition.
The lake has a six-lane rowing course and more than 150 participants are expected to row their hearts out over the 1000-metre course.
Spectators are welcome to watch from the foreshore at Regatta HQ, Plant Williams Rowing Pavilion, Aughtie Drive.
Races start at the bright and early time of 8am and continue all day.
The event is sponsored by Parks Victoria.
