Newtown to change lanes for FBi
On Sunday, September 19, Eliza St, Newtown will be transformed into an open-air music festival running from King St to Camperdown Park as a fundraiser for FBi Radio.
A stage on the street will host big name musical performances, while DJs will take over the Zanzibar and Courthouse hotels.
Zanzibar’s mid-level bar will have a hip-hop vibe, while the rooftop will vibrate with dub-step, electro and more before Itch-e and Scratch-e (aka Paul Mac and Andy Rantzen) play their headline set for the crowds.
The Courthouse will celebrate ’50s and ’60s rock and blues, spun by DJs from some of Sydney’s favourite clubs.
Other acts include Bridezilla, Tame Impala, Ernest Eliss, Purple Sneakers, Sveta, Mark Murphy, Red Riders, Spruce Lee and DJs from Gay Bash and Girlthing.
Festival-goers can also expect to be entertained by street performers and live art performances, while food stalls and market stalls selling clothes and vinyl records will line the street.
Tickets are available through Moshtix.
