Perth shows pride
The PrideFest WA 2012 festival takes over Perth from this Saturday, October 6 and running through until November 3. It features a wide range of large-scale events, performances, exhibitions and activities around Perth and regional Western Australia. The festival kicks off with the family Fair Day and concludes with the illustrious Pride Parade.
“Our mission is to encourage the cultural expression and celebrate, champion and support the rights and freedoms of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, queer and same-sex attracted people living in Western Australia,” Pride WA co-president Alice Newport Holden said.
