Prodigious Australian talent Maddy Hay dazzled with her 2010 debut album Smoke in the City. Coming hot on its heels is Tell Me A Story, which extends her musical talents beyond the smoky jazz of her debut by introducing subtle acoustic and electro flourishes.

The songs began their life when Hay spent several months living in Amsterdam and Paris, and blossomed when she returned to Australia to an unenviable task from producer Jonathan Zion: write 30 songs in 30 days. The best were whittled down for Tell Me A Story, a sophisticated sophomore the 23-year-old chanteuse can be proud of.
