Thank God it’s been and gone for another year. Gay Christmas is over. Should I be so overjoyed that it’s all finished? Yes.
It was another mad panic to get to the finish line, our seamstress was on the Pfaff until the very last minute.
But, credit where credit is due, we all looked fabulous. Even the queen with the mechanical headgear went down a treat, just like she did the other day in the bushes at the beach-¦ but we won’t mention that.
The party was just like any other year -” but without the drag.
Mardi Gras must not forget the roots of our gay community -” whether we like it or not, that includes drag!
Don’t forget the old queens, NMG. We are still an integral part of the community.
We might have all put on a couple of kilos, but we can still look just as pretty in a darkened dance hall!
The celebrities were also out again. So you think you look good naked? Hmmm. Well perhaps you do, but you need to learn how to treat old has-been queens like me far better that you did!
It was a month of partying. I also had another birthday, and no, I’m not 50 yet, you bitches. Celebrations were a laugh at the Taxi Club, but, my, how those trannies get territorial! Poor Gracie got booted out of the way on several occasions by the pushy girls. What I would have given to see a scrag fight, but sadly Gracie is a little too polite to start a bitch-fight, especially with somebody who has a 40 kilo head start on her.
In more riveting news Heaven will be celebrating another dance this coming Saturday night, 4 April, at the Northmead Bowling Club, followed by the big charity night in June for the Western Suburbs Haven.
