Ships Ahoy

Ships Ahoy

The ALSO Boat People cruise was the place to be seen the other Friday night. Such shenanigans were had upon the high seas that one lady decided to souvenir a life preserve, concealing it under her maxi skirt, only to have the ship’s captain contact ALSO and request it be returned ASAP. Lucky she wasn’t made to walk the plank!

It seems the Saturday show wasn’t the only one given the bum’s rush from a certain Commercial Rd establishement. The same week the Thursday showgirl was given the boot too in what seem to be the biggest mass evacuation since my last dose of Metamucil. Never mind lovey — at least you got the courtesy of a face-to-face.

In the interest of transparency I will also state publicly that said gin joint did sack the entire Saturday cast the week prior, only to offer work to two of the cast members five minutes later — also by text. Hardly a secret — and in my opinion making the whole situation all the more tacky (just to silence the bitter old queens out there).

The firings around town continue, with Anita Beer and Slash being axed from their bingo Thursday gig. I hope at least those girls got a phone call — 88 two fat ladies, legs 11, eyes down and you’re fired!

Anita wasn’t letting any grass grow and quickly secured a Saturday spot on Commercial Rd and hastily vacated.

Oh, the comings and goings. It’s like a revolving door. I can’t keep up!

The boy behind the lens, the gorgeous Ari, is also no longer at his regular Sunday night gig. It seems the club and the snapper had some issues and decided to call it a day. Ari will be sadly missed — none of us have escaped his prying lens and probing telescopic equipment.

The lovely Monte Dee has set tails wagging at the GH. It appears her hosting skills were quite exceptional and it’s even been suggested she should be full time!

I know one lady who won’t like that at all. Fur was flying backstage, I hear, as the regular girls thought it ought to have been an in-house hire job. But a change is as good as a holiday and Ms Dee is different. Not always in the best taste, but different.

Until next time — remember, camp can mean a thousand things. Mwah, Rita xx
