Out N Hastings, Port Macquarie’s LGBTIQ social group has been busy organising events. On Saturday, May 12 they are holding a social pool night.

This event is free and begins at 6.30pm at the Telegraph Point Sports and Recreation Club on Moonee St, Telegraph Point.

Then on Saturday, June 16 they are rocking it out with an 18+ dance at Panthers Pier One from 7pm.

Coastal Castaways is another Mid North Coast LGBTIQ community group and they have been active in producing and presenting a radio show. Tune in to 2BOB FM 104.7 at 8pm Thursday for Out on the Manning if you are in the area.

They are also running a Bear camp over the Easter weekend. Campsites are filling fast for this yearly men-only weekend. Call for more information on 0411 693 458. The event has grown from strength to strength and is set on 350 acres of mountaintop in complete solitude and privacy.

The Macleay Valley Women’s Group holds a brunch at 9.30am on the fourth Sunday of every month. This is a women-only event. Please contact Jen Clarke on 02 6562 4084 or Chonni and Lou on 02 6562 1885.

The Hunter New England Local Health District is running Smile with Pride on Tuesday, April 24 at Forster Community Health Centre. This is a free dental check for people living with HIV. Contact Glenn Ferrero at ACON for a referral if you live in the area.

Are you interested in joining a social group? Coffs Coast Rainbow Families is a social group for gay and lesbian families around Coffs Harbour. They meet on the third Sunday of the month at different places in the area. For more information, email [email protected] or call 0404 165 275.
