Ignite your passion for cheering

GLBTI community cheerleading team  Ignite Squad is on the hunt for new members as it broadens its performance horizons and becomes a ‘community performance team’, incorporating different styles into its cheering with a ‘bring it on’ spark.

The squad would love to have anyone with a flair and passion for dance, performance, cheerleading, flag-waving and shaking pom-poms involved in the global Cheer for Life program in Australia, regardless of ability or experience.

Participants just need a passion to make a difference, a can-do attitude and a willingness to learn.

Ignite uses all-star cheerleading and dance to raise awareness and funds for services providing support for people dealing with life-challenging obstacles such as cancer and HIV/AIDS.

The cheerleaders volunteer at events, providing extreme stunts and powerful dance routines to entertain, inspire, and motivate audiences into giving.

If you’re interested, go to Ignite’s registration day at Redfern Town Hall on Sunday, June 26 from 2-3:30pm where you can hear about the squad, ask questions and register for the team.
