MARDI Gras will be hosting the last Sydney-based Camp Co-op for the year with Siri Kommedahl, co-chair of Mardi Gras, presenting a session on ‘Community engagement – challenges and opportunities’ – a topic many of us who run community groups will find of interest.
What is Camp Co-op:
Camp Co-op gatherings occur once per season, in the first part of a gathering we share the knowledge and wisdom of our community through a mix of roundtable discussions, presentations and speeches. The second half of the evening if a free flowing opportunity to mingle, make new friends and share ideas with other committee and board members from right across our community while enjoying a drink and a nibble.
When: 6:30pm, Monday December 2, 2013
Where: ACON; 414 Elizabeth St, Surry Hills NSW 2010
R.S.V.P: Thursday November 28 – To confirm your attendance email your name, LGBTI organisation name and your role to president@sglba.org.au
Cost: Free for all board/committee members from LGBTI community organisations
Please feel free to invite your friends who sit on LGBTI community boards and committees.
Support the Star Observer… while you still can
LGBTQIA+ media is under threat. Queer content is censored by tech conglomerates who amplify bigotry and push out AI slop — so we receive less financial support than ever.
When our community is muzzled and intolerance intensifies, we need queer media more than ever. Your donation means we can continue paying queer journalists to write queer news.
Don’t rely on the straight lies of big tech – support Star Observer instead and donate now.
