Bardot babe resurfaces
The members of Australia’s last great girl group, Bardot, have met varying degrees of success since they split in 2002.
Katie Underwood has forged a very respectable career as a friend of the gays, while Sophie Monk has made an art out of having very big lips and very small hips, but it was the group’s down-to-earth Greek goddess, Sally Polihronas, who seemed to disappear completely from the public eye.
Polihronas will perform an intimate concert titled Gypsy Girl at the Vanguard on Thursday, August 26. Incredibly, the showcase of her own solo material is her first Sydney performance since the days of Bardot.

Support the Star Observer… while you still can
LGBTQIA+ media is under threat. Queer content is censored by tech conglomerates who amplify bigotry and push out AI slop — so we receive less financial support than ever.
When our community is muzzled and intolerance intensifies, we need queer media more than ever. Your donation means we can continue paying queer journalists to write queer news.
Don’t rely on the straight lies of big tech – support Star Observer instead and donate now.
