Following the bitter struggle of gay activists in the Eastern European nation of Belarus, documentary East Bloc Love is a compelling addition to the Melbourne Queer Film Festival line-up. Director Logan Mucha follows the exploits of openly gay activist Sergey as he and a handful of compatriots stand bravely against threats of violence from authorities to fight for their rights. Screening March 26, 8pm at ACMI.
