Troye Sivan Drops New Single “She’s The Best”, Featuring Charlie Xcx & Nicole Kidman

Australian gay pop sensation Troye Sivan just dropped the first single from his upcoming album, “She’s The Best”. The song, of the same name, features finishing vocals by Charlie xcx, as well as a surprise music video cameo from fellow national icon Nicole Kidman.
The song profiles the visual traits of an unnamed young woman, from her “great smile” and “little thin cigarette” to the “cum stain on her dress”. Speaking to Rolling Stone, Sivan described the song as a love letter to a number of women in his personal life, including Ariana Grande, Lili-Rode Depp, and of course, Charli.
Nicole Kidman’s Cameo
As for the song’s accompanying music video, directed by Gordon Von Steiner, the clip depicts Kidman smoking a cigarette, presumably embodying the track’s titular persona. As Sivan delivers his sultry, almost spoken lyrics, Kidman enters a drag club, eventually sitting down to sip a drink as she returns the seductive gaze of Sivan, now performing. After an intimate exchange of caresses between the two A-listers, the music video concludes with a montage of queens, featuring Sivan himself in opulent drag.
The song was written by Sivan and longtime collaborator Leland, along with the help of Jack Antonoff, Styalz Fuego, and “The 1975” drummer George Daniel, the latter of whom married Charlie in 2025, with Sivan attending the wedding. The drop also comes just two years after Sivan and Charlie headlined the “Sweat Tour” together in 2024.
She’s The Best: An Ode To The Feminine
“‘She’s the Best’ is a painting that captures my life in all of its moods and colours,” said Sivan. “It explores the high-octane highs of the last few years, and the solitude and longing that sat underneath. It’s chaotic, layered, organic, troubled and alive.
“It feels like the truest and most creative version of myself I’ve ever shared. At some point along the way I realised: the only constant in my life keeping me somewhat sane has not been the work, or the men, but the feminine. Thank god for them.”
The rest of Troye’s new album is slated to be released on October 9.
