Ke$ha backs Mardi Gras

Despite scoring five top 10 hits and releasing two huge albums, Ke$ha was notably absent from this year’s list of Grammy nominees.

The hard partying diva has opened up to Vanity Fair about her award snub – and sang the praises of Jack Daniels as mouth wash.

As for the Grammys, Ke$ha admitted: “I was disappointed that I didn’t get nominated. But I’ve only been around for a year.

“I’m friends with the Black Keys and they were nominated for the first time this year.

“And they’ve been around for a decade, that’s like half my life. So I really can’t be a brat about it,” she said before adding – “I plan on making a lot more records and hopefully one of them will be Grammy worthy.”

Now for that infamous Tik Tok lyric about brushing her teeth with a bottle of Jack Daniels.

“Jack Daniels is an anti-bacterial and it’s way better than morning breath,” Ke$ha sagely advised.

“Let me put it this way, if you wake up naked in a bathtub and you have the choice between rinsing out with Jack Daniels or trying to make out with some dude with morning breath, I would recommend picking up the Jack.”

No doubt the pop star will be waking up naked in bathrooms around Australia when she tours in March.

That trip coincides with Mardi Gras and Ke$ha’s participation in the festival’s Say Something campaign has fuel speculation that she will perform at the party.
