Come Back As You – Silver Sircus

Brisbane-based noir-rockers Silver Sircus have just released their latest single, Come Back As You, and are about to support the release with gigs in Melbourne and Brisbane. The song itself is a loved-up ballad that contains the band’s trademark dark lyricism — we can’t quite figure out whether the line ‘When I die I want to come back as you’ is sweet or creepy. Perhaps that’s the point. Regardless, it’s a gorgeous, steadily climaxing ballad with a stunning vocal performance from frontwoman Lucinda Shaw.
