McKellen to join rally

Southern Star understands veteran British actor Sir Ian McKellen will address a rally for same-sex marriage rights in Melbourne on Saturday.
The news was posted on the Facebook page of Equal Love co-convenor, Ali Hogg.
Activists are set to take to the streets this Saturday, May 15, calling for equal marriage rights.
The rally will start at 1pm at the State Library and leads up to International Day Against Homophobia on May 17.
McKellen is currently in Australia performing in a production of Samuel Beckett’s Waiting For Godot.

  1. I guess Tom McFeely who owns the Peel, and is after our vote as the Liberal member, will not be at the rally as he supports Civil Unions only, as reported in The Age.

    It is shame the money I have spent at the Peel might now go to denying me the right to get married.
