Petition for same-sex marriage

Petition for same-sex marriage

More than 2000 supporters of same-sex marriage have added their names to a petition calling for an end to discrimination in marriage laws.
The petition has been organised by Equal Love in conjunction with Community Action Against Homophobia, in the lead-up to the November 28 release of the Senate Marriage Inquiry report.
They aim to collect 20,000 signatures for the petition, which simply reads, “Dear Kevin Rudd, I call on the Australian Government to legislate for same-sex marriage immediately. I reject all discrimination on the basis of a person’s sexual orientation.”
The petition can be signed at Equal Love’s website or Facebook page. A PDF is also available to download, to collect signatures at work or university.
