Bodies under construction

Under Construction, an exhibition of surrealistic photographs by Yves Hernot, is showing at TAP Gallery in Darlinghurst until August 8. Sydney resident Hernot began his career studying at the Sorbonne and at the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux Arts de Paris where he graduated in 1974. He was made a Laureate of the Fine Arts Academy of Paris the same year. During this period he met surrealist painter Salvador Dali and abstract painter Pierre Soulages, both of whom had a strong influence on his work.
