The hot new play The Burlesque Effect, set in the world of 1950s burlesque in Sydney, makes its world premiere at the Newtown Theatre on July 20. To help raise money for the set, the suits and the sequins, the cast and crew are holding a fundraising evening at Tone Nightclub in Surry Hills on Thursday, June 23 from 7.30pm. As well as sizzling entertainment from the cast, there will be great prizes raffled and auctioned off, including private burlesque lessons, personal training, a voucher for the Naked Barber, burlesque outfits and more. Tickets at the door are only $10.
