Ricki-Lee set to Wiggle It at Arq

Juggling her Australian Idol duties, new marriage and singing career makes Ricki-Lee Coulter one busy little performer.

But the former Young Diva is happy to put them all on the back burner for a return to her favourite gay venue -” Arq -” on 14 September.

Coulter will launch her new single, Wiggle It, at the club and, though she may be a married woman these days, Coulter says we can still expect to see her at her sizzling, sexy best.

I love Arq and I try to support their events as much as possible -” plus the sound and lighting inside Arq is like a performer’s dream. It’s just so amazing to be on that stage at any time, Coulter told Sydney Star Observer.

Expect some big classic Ricki-Lee tunes and lots of wiggling to be on the cards. We have a few little surprises as it will be a fun and dynamic show.

Heck, Ricki-Lee is such a fag hag she’s even dragged in some of our community’s finest for the new single’s video clip.

It’s raw and sexy, but has this camp fun level to it which is so me, she said.

It does indeed feature some hot gay identities -” it features the hottest man I know in this country, Dave Graham. And the to-die-for Trevor Ashley who just blows me away with his brilliance. He played a drag queen and a fabulous one at that.

There are also three of my best gay mates playing women -” they were given creative freedom for the video and could have been any crazy character from a nightclub but they chose to be women -” hilarious.

I’m not sure they made the most beautiful women, but they loved every minute of it and took so much inspiration from Trevor.

info: Wiggle It is out on Saturday 13 September. There’s a $10 entry to her performance at Arq on Sunday 14 September which includes a signed CD single. Doors open 9pm. For more details on Ricki-Lee head to www.ricki-lee.com.
