The Sydney Gay and Lesbian Business Association is seeking a new company secretary to join their board of directors.
The volunteer position is open to any current member of the SGLBA, and would ideally suit someone with a legal background.
The SGLBA brings members of the gay and lesbian business community together to meet and network at their regular Lemons With A Twist and Fruits In Suits nights.
Most importantly, the organisation fundraises for local community groups, including Twenty10, the Bobby Goldsmith Foundation and Team Sydney.
If they sound like the type of organisation you’d like to get involved with, but don’t have enough hours to fulfil the role of company secretary, there is also an open call for volunteers to join their ranks.
Becoming a volunteer can involve helping out with event organisation, website development and media communications, as well as brainstorming to come up with ideas for the organisation’s future.
