Focus on youth
Twenty10 Week, from October 17 to 23, is a program of events aimed at young people, volunteers, supporters, and the wider community.
There’ll be a special Twenty10 edition of Claire’s Kitchen at Slide on Wednesday, October 19, with young people from Twenty10 serving a three-course meal prepared by chef Marc Kuzma and performances from three young musicians from the Twenty10 video project. Tickets are $70.
The Insight Out exhibition at Twenty10’s Aurora Room on Friday, October 21 will showcase upcoming artists from the LGBTI community.
Twenty10 is seeking artists of diverse genders, sexes, and sexualities under 26 years to contribute works in media including drawing, painting, sculpture, video art, photography, and prints.
Contact Rebecca@twenty10.org.au to submit artworks.
Ninety percent of the purchase price of artworks sold on the night goes to the artists.
The Insight Out exhibition is an alcohol-free event but nibbles, soft drinks, and non-alcoholic champagne will be served. Entry is free but donations are welcomed.
Twenty10 Week will end with Sunday Splash! on October 23, an event strictly for young people and hosted by Life Savers with Pride.
Young people of all abilities are invited to attend a swim session with the lifesavers and have lunch at the beach.
