WATCH: Indian pride video based on Ed Sheeran’s Thinking Out Loud

A YOUTUBE blogger has responded too LGBT issues in India by creating a video that samples Ed Sheeran’s Thinking Out Loud.

[showads ad=MREC]Gangsta Gudiya’s video, Out and Proud, reworks the lyrics of Sheeran’s global hit to express a right for freedom and love as an Indian LGBT person.

The clip also stars performers Nikhil D’souza and Ugoeze, miming to the re-worked song, which includes lyrics like “please accept me for who I am, let me live life the only way I can”.

In an interview with Indian news site Firstpost, Gudiya said: “I’m tired of seeing hatred and negativity in the world today.”

“We wanted to stress the importance of love and acceptance without judgement. And thus, this song was born.”

The music video has generated over 8000 views since it was published on August 15.
