Beyoncé reigns at Billboard awards

Beyoncé was given a special Millenium Award at today’s Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas and delivered a show-stopping performance of her new single Run The World (Girls) that is already being described as one of the best of all time.

Before taking the stage, the 29-year-old superstar was honoured by the likes of Michelle Obama, Barbra Streisand, Bono and Stevie Wonder for her talent and artistry.

Lady Gaga went as far as calling her former duet partner “more than an icon, you represent the dream”.

Queen B then took the stage and danced against an impressive multi-media display that seemed to merge dimensions.

After strutting into the crowd, the Halo singer was joined by an army of female dancers for a final bout of mind-bending choreography.

The performance was given a standing ovation by audience and Bey was then handed the award by her mother.

She thanked her family, former Destiny’s Child band members and husband Jay Z.
